I love brown rice veggie sushi, but it just isn’t the same without soy sauce (which I love mixed with wasabi). Someone told me about Trader Joe’s Coconut Aminos (organic too!) Seasoning Sauce. She thought it resembled soy sauce quite well. That’s all I needed to hear! This was especially good with a brown rice/quinoa veggie sushi from Whole Foods.
I have an intolerance/possible allergy to soy, so while I can eat some soy, I stay away from soy protein, or soy sauce – which makes it hard to eat sushi when you like it with soy. I’m used to my stir fry recipes with no soy, but the coconut aminos help amp up the flavor profile so I no longer feel as if I’m missing out.
I was thrilled to be able to make my Shrimp Fried Rice (recipe from House Calls magazine by Roper St. Francis Hospital) – it’s healthy and so delicious!! Click the link above for the recipe. It’s been on this blog for a while. It’s a winner!
Catch you back here tomorrow!
